2/4/2026: I gave two talks at the 2026 East Idaho Cereals Conference in Idaho Falls. The first, “Marketing 101,” focused on the behavior of basis and futures contract prices. The second, “Marketing in Challenging Times,” offered practical marketing strategies for producers. It was, as always, a pleasure to engage with our growers, whose hard work helps feed our communities and the world.
1/14/2026: The new semester is underway at the University of Idaho. I will be teaching an undergraduate course on futures and options trading and leading a student group to explore Taiwan’s agricultural sector.
1/5/2026: Happy to share that Jung-Keon Jo has joined my team as a Postdoctoral Researcher. I am excited to work with Jung-Keon to further our understanding of commodity markets!
12/18/2025: In a recent article published by Ag Proud Idaho, Qi Zhang and I discussed the fuel price trends and outlook for Idaho producers.
12/17/2025: I discussed input cost trends at the annual Idaho Ag Outlook in Boise, ID.
12/10/2025: I taught two 90-minute workshops on postharvest marketing strategies at the annual WSU Wheat Academy in Pullman, WA. Participants played a fun market simulation game in the workshop.
